Problem or Motivation

Many students are interested in robotics but lack hands-on exposure. The goal was to make practical robotics learning accessible through affordable and repeatable kit-based workshops.

What I Built

  • Modular hardware kit with simple assembly and troubleshooting guides.
  • Step-by-step curriculum covering sensing, control, and autonomous behavior basics.
  • Reusable workshop infrastructure for mentors and facilitators.

Tools and Technologies Used

  • Arduino-based control boards and sensor kits
  • CAD for enclosure and mount design
  • Python and embedded exercises for introductory robotics workflows

My Role and Contributions

  • Led kit architecture, activity sequencing, and documentation approach.
  • Facilitated workshops and refined content based on participant feedback.
  • Coordinated logistics and quality checks for repeat events.

Challenges and Lessons Learned

  • Hardware durability needed improvements for repeated transport and setup.
  • Clear instructions greatly reduced onboarding time for beginners.
  • Community impact grows when engineering is taught through building.
